Daney Jinx

Well, I have stated my preferences during the baseball playoffs this year and each team I have rooted for has been eliminated or is currently down 3 games to ZIP.

So, I am now devoting all of my time and energy towards rooting for the Bo Sox - which means they will now be jinxed and will inevitably lose to St. Louis.

Think about it. If Boston wins, baseball will never be the same.

The curse will be over.

What will Red Sox fans complain about?

They already have 2 Super Bowl ttles in the last 3 years, I say lets spread the winning around.

So everyone cheer on the Red Sox tonight!

Weekend Summary

Besides a huge burn on my right calf, a rather debilatating hangover on Sunday morning and having to sleep in on the top bunk of a kids bunkbed - this weekend was great.

Went to the lake with a bunch of guys and drank the entire day while cleaning and winterizing various watercfaft.

Played NCAA Football on the XBox (went undefeated), drank a large amount of beer and played Texas Holdem all night (I won the first game).

I bumped into a portable propane heater we had set-up in the garage and now I have a large (about 5 inches long) burn on my calf. That is the curse of having such large well developed leg muscles - sometimes they get in the way.

Got to go to Clay's Family Restaurant for their MORNING BREAKFAST BUFFET. It was spectacular. I had 5 different breakfast meats.

Wife was out of town Sunday - so I got to come home and nap. Life is good.

Christmas will be here before you know it . . .

Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is. Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?

Da Weekend - Part II

Still pumped about going to the lake even though the forcast sucks - lots of rain.

Guess we'll be in the garage all day instead of fishing.

Props to the Cardinals for knocking off the Astros.

I'm not a fan of either team, but it was a good game.

GREAT catch by Edmonds in the second. I was feeding my kid at the time and I about tossed her when I saw that catch. His balls will be sore today.

Do not fall asleep at my house during the game . . .

Rest In Peace

This past summer, I had to get rid of my beloved Mustang in anticipation of the arrival of my second child Sara (see below). We were in need of a family car, and I ended up purchasing a 2004 Pontiac GTP. It doesn't have the balls or rumble of the 'Stang, but it's pretty quick for a grocery getter (260 HP Supercharged V6).

P.S. - I can still do burnouts down my parent's driveway with relative ease.

Kids having kids

Kids having kids Posted by Hello

Here's a shot of my bro and I a few weeks after our kids were born. His first, my second. Life is good, but with a lot less sleep.

Baseball

As a life long Detroit Tigers fan, I have had little to celebrate over the last 15 or so years.

The Tigers did show tremendous improvement this year, so I have some hope for the upcoming season.

I have always despised Boston and NY because they have beat the Tigers like a red-headed step child for most of my lifetime. That being said - what an awsome series they just completed.

I want to pull for the Sox in the World Series but I cannot stand Pedro Martinez and his smug attitude.

Tonight is game 7 between the Cardinals and Astros. I think I am going to root for the Astros - I like The Rocket and his hardass style.

Anyway - look for the Tigers in '05.

Da Weekend

Looking forward to the weekend.

Going to the lake with some guys - no wives, girlfriends or kids allowed.

Agenda:

Drink beer, fish, drink beer, play XBox, drink beer, watch college football and drink some beer.

Maybe throw a "take a pee" in there a few times as well.

I'll let you know how it goes.
